Monsoon Magic Festival – 15th July – 15th August
Come June and the Southwest Monsoon arrives with thunder, lightening and downpour in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and capital city Silvassa. The dry landscape metamorphoses into myriad shades of verdant green, waterfalls roar, streams gurgle, rivers out swell to their banks and the natives engage in cultivation at their farms. The panorama of nature is unveiled in sylvan Silvassa. This is the perfect time to plan a tour to Silvassa, to soak in the rain, get drenched in the waterfalls, splash in the puddles, get muddy in the fields, all up, close and personal to Mother Nature.
Festival activities at this time in Silvassa include monsoon trekking, monsoon sports, monsoon cross country runs, Monsoon Moods (the landscape painters meet), Monsoon Moments (the amateur photographers workshop), Monsoon Raga (a musical concert) and Jalsa (the rain dance). The monsoon is a great time to plan a tour to Silvassa and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Experience the magic of the monsoons in Silvassa when you visit.
